WHY I DO IT
During a work trip to Florence, I encountered a Brunello di Montalcino that changed everything. How could a beverage feel like silk, so rich and layered? With the guide’s help, I realised there was a whole world behind what I was tasting — expressive, nuanced, and structured in ways that resonated with how I experience music.

My aim is to share that sense of discovery through tasting and learning, grounded in solid knowledge and curiosity. Anyone can learn to tune their nose and palate the way they learn to listen: with attention, openness, and joy.

Wine is a handcrafted expression of culture, shaped by history, place, and countless decisions from vineyard to cellar, all underpinned by science. It is complex — and that’s part of its beauty. My goal is not to simplify it, but to make that complexity approachable rather than intimidating.
WHO I AM
I am a certified wine specialist and professional violinist with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, based in Norway.

Wine has also become a central part of my professional life, leading me to pursue formal studies through WSET, having completed Level 3 and currently pursuing the Diploma, alongside several years of experience at the Norwegian Wine Monopoly (Vinmonopolet). Working within the system provided valuable insider perspective — from tastings and trade fairs to direct contact with importers and producers, hands-on consumer advising, and the opportunity to learn from exceptionally knowledgeable colleagues. This combination of structured study and practical experience continues to shape the way I understand and communicate about wine.
Born in Brazil into a family of classical musicians, I grew up surrounded by music, with rehearsals and concerts woven into daily life. My formal music studies later took me to Germany and then to Norway. Working across languages — Portuguese, English, Norwegian and German — allows me to offer added linguistic and cultural insight, particularly in the context of wine travel and international collaborations.

VinoLino is the space where my two worlds connect.
